In May 2024, Nick was diagnosed with a rare and incurable brain tumour known as an oligodendroglioma. Thanks to his brilliant Neurosurgeon, wonderful Oncologist and amazing Anaesthetist & Doctor, he is still alive and kicking. 

His medical team have secured from the US manufacturers – Servier Pharmaceuticals LLC  – a supply of the new cancer drug Vorasidenib. They have kindly agreed to supply this free of charge for 12 months after any decision has been made by the National Institute for Healthcare and Clinical Excellence (NICE) as to whether they will recommend it to be supplied by the UK National Health Service (NHS). At the moment, the drug is extremely expensive.

It is available in the United States at a cost of $22,000 per month. Should it not be recommended, then he will have to find a financial sponsor to help delay the point at which the tumour takes its inevitable toll.
